The India Digital Personal Data Protection Act rules are not likely to be notified in time for the country's March elections, The Economic Times reports. The delay means the law may not be finalized until after the current government's term, which could open it up to future changes. Meanwhile, people who seek to delete data from banking institutions under the DPDPA may not be able to work with that system in the future. Editor's note: The IAPP Global Privacy Summit will feature a break-out session on the DPDPA 4 April.
