The Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information said its involvement in development of the TeleCOVID Hessen application ensured “that the rights of the affected patients are protected with this innovative telemedical solution.” Using the app, hospitals can transfer findings and encrypted treatment data. “It has been shown once again that by including the HBDI before the start of the project, the right course can regularly be set in good time and project-delaying improvements to establish data protection conformity are not required,” the HBDI said.
