The Verge reports the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California will allow a potential USD5 billion lawsuit over alleged user tracking in Google's "incognito" browser to move forward. The court ruled against a summary judgement that would allow Google to avoid a trial. The lawsuit pertains to 2020 claims that Google's cookies, analytics and tools continued tracking users despite use of private browsing settings.
