EU Observer reports European Parliament is preparing to launch a formal investigation into alleged mobile device surveillance by European countries. Members of Parliament are likely to roll out an inquiry committee that will explore the potential use of "Pegasus" spyware by EU governments targeting journalists, legal professionals and government opposition leaders. "We need to explain the matter in depth and protect EU citizens from destroying their privacy," Polish MEP Roza Thun said.
