The European Commission announced a partnership with Caribbean and Latin American nations called the "EU-LAC Digital Alliance." Countries joining the alliance include Argentina, the Bahamas, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama and Uruguay, and the alliance is open to all countries in the region. The partnership "provides a forum for regular bi-regional dialogue and cooperation on digital matters," while creating a "strategic framework to foster future cooperation."
