The European Commission requested a risk assessment from TikTok to ensure compliance with the Digital Services Act after this month's launch of TikTok Lite in France and Spain, Reuters reports. European Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton said he is concerned about TikTok's new app and the "protection of minors, as well as on the mental health of users, in particular in relation to the potential stimulation of addictive behaviour."
