Mauritius Data Protection Office Commissioner Drudeisha Madhub visited her counterpart in Rwanda to further collaboration between the two countries’ data protection regulators, The New Times reports. Madhub discussed Mauritius’ efforts to implement personal data and privacy legislation in the banking sector of the economy. She also advocated for engaging with stakeholders in a “timely” manner ahead of the full implementation of data protection laws “for continuity of vital business sectors.”
