The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau announced an extension to July 1 for the public consultation period it and four other regulators set up for financial institutions’ use of artificial intelligence. The request for information seeks input on specific use cases for AI and to better understand concepts like machine learning, appropriate governance, and risk management or controls. The comment period was originally scheduled to end June 1.
