Brazil's Federal Prosecution Office is joining nonprofit Sigilo in pursuit of compensation to more than 220 million individuals affected by Experian's 2021 data breach, according to The Brazilian Report. The initial lawsuit argued Experian allegedly sold individuals' information from its databases, but the prosecution office now adds the data "continues to be sold" and the unlawful sales are "creating a vulnerable environment that is prone to fraud."
