Belgium's data protection authority, the APD, released a checklist for proper application and usage of third-party cookies and user tracking mechanisms. The checklist offers reminders along with "dos and don'ts" for applying cookies while the APD reminds companies that "free, specific, (and) informed" consent is required for any tracking that is not strictly necessary.
