The Association of Southeast Asian Nations Data Management Framework and the Model Contractual Clauses for Cross Border Data Flows were approved during the 1st ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting. The DMF helps businesses implement data management systems to ensure proper data management practices are in place, and the MCCs are template contractual terms and conditions to be used in legal agreements where data transfers take place. Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission released guidance for any organization that wishes to use the MCCs.
