Apple announced its App Tracking Transparency framework for iOS 14.5 is set to launch April 26. Application providers seeking to remain on Apple's App Store must submit to a review of ATT requirements and then obtain user consent for approved tracking moving forward. Additionally, Apple made clear that user fingerprinting "continues to be a violation of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement." Editor's note: IAPP Associate Editor Ryan Chiavetta, CIPP/US, wrote about advertising technology's reaction to Apple's privacy changes for The Privacy Advisor.
