Amazon will continue to roll out its “One” palm scanner payment system with 65 Whole Foods stores in California set to employ the technology, TechCrunch reports. Customers can go to a kiosk at participating locations then link their palm and payment card to the service. Amazon One creates palm signatures that uses machine learning to identify customers. The scanner photographs the customer’s palm. Amazon says it does not store the image, but it will encrypt the data and transmit it to a server to match with the scan on file.
