Fredrikson & Byron hired Nyajuak Deng as an associate in its Technology & Data group. Deng advises on a variety of technology, data and software matters. She has particular expertise in technology transfers and data agreements.
Angela Fonseca, CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO/BR
Angela Fonseca was brought on as data protection officer at Brazilian e-commerce company VTEX. She has 15 years of experience advising companies across various sectors, including software-as-a-service, life sciences, agricultural technology and sports. Fonseca's work focuses on cross-border investments, data privacy, innovation and regulatory matters.
Christopher Wall, CIPP/E, CIPP/US
eDiscovery services firm HaystackID brought Christopher Wall aboard as special counsel for global privacy & forensics, and internal data protection officer. In prior roles, Wall worked on data-focused matters in financial services, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods and agricultural sciences. "Chris has demonstrated dedication to understanding client objectives, creating innovative solutions, and ultimately reducing client risk and legal spend," HaystackID President Andrea Wallack said. "His expertise with data privacy and cross-border data transfer issues arising from litigation and investigations will be of significant value to our company and clients."
