Greetings from Portsmouth, New Hampshire!

I must admit, we're feeling a bit lonely here in the IAPP corporate headquarters. So many of our staff, after all, are deployed all over the world at the moment.

Our CEO, Trevor Hughes, CIPP, remains in New Zealand, finishing up his tour of ANZ, starting with the iappANZ Summit and traveling throughout the region as he meets new members and reconnects with older members as part of the IAPP and iappANZ formally joining forces. As head of content here at the IAPP, I'm greatly looking forward to working with new ANZ members as contributors to our many publications and to bringing IAPP resources to bear on programming next year's Summit.

If you have ideas for contributions or for improving the Summit going forward, please reach out to me at sam@iapp.org.

Also on the road, starting next week, is our director of business development, Peter Yauch, who will be traveling the length and breadth of India as we look to broaden our efforts there in anticipation of a new all-encompassing privacy law. Make sure to check out our KnowledgeNet meeting listings in the online store: Yauch will be attending an event in Mumbai, 30 Nov., and there will be more events listed in short order.

Finally, a reminder that we are gearing up for the next IAPP Asia Privacy Forum in Singapore and that the call for presentations is open for that event. In particular, we're always looking for practical presentations that explore the "how" of privacy. In a region as dynamic as the Asia-Pacific, surely there is any number of creative solutions you've devised that your fellow members would enjoy hearing about. Make sure you get your submission in before the deadline in February.

Cheers,
Sam
