Norway's data protection authority, Datatilsynet, announced its final decision to fine dating application Grindr NOK 65 million over EU General Data Protection Regulation violations. The regulator lowered its initial NOK 106.4 million fine against the app announced in January. The reduced penalty was a result of Grindr providing further information to Datatilsynet's investigation and rectifying areas of malpractice. The app will still be required to delete personal data found to be processed in violation of the GDPR.
