Norway's data protection authority, Datatilsynet, announced its intention to fine Grindr $11.7 million for alleged violations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, The New York Times reports. The DPA said the dating application shared information with third parties without user consent. Grindr will have until Feb. 15 to respond to the DPA's findings before a final decision is made, which could result in the highest GDPR penalty ever administered by the agency.
