India's Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw will introduce the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill 3 Aug. in the lower house of Parliament, The Indian Express reports. A parliamentary panel on IT recommended passage of the DPDPB "without any undue delay." The latest draft contains a provision to allow appeals of Data Protection Board decisions by the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal, which was not contained in the 2022 draft bill.
