The U.S. Government Accountability Office told federal agencies to determine the effectiveness of its cybersecurity risk assessments due to a rise in ransomware attacks, The HIPAA Journal reports. The GAO assessed federal agencies' cybersecurity measures and found the "Sector Risk Management Agencies do not have reliable data on the extent to which the (National Institute of Standards and Technology) recommendations have been implemented."
