European Parliament's Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs held a hearing to further explore details of implementation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. In regard to enforcement, Spanish Data Protection Authority Director Mar España Martí and Norwegian DPA Head of International Tobias Judin both indicated harmonization across member states is insufficient and authorities also lack resources to increase workloads. The hearing also covered data subject rights and the handling of cross-border violations.
