Ohio-based DNA Diagnostics Center reported the personal data of more than 2.1 million individuals was exposed in an “external hacking” incident, GovInfoSecurity reports. Exposed data includes Social Security numbers and payment information. In a report filed with the Maine Attorney General’s Office, the DNA testing company said 225 Maine residents are among those affected by the incident that occurred between May 24 and July 28, involving a database containing personal information collected between 2004 and 2012.
