European Parliament, the European Commission and the Council of the European Union commenced final negotiations for the passage of the Digital Markets Act. German Member of European Parliament and DMA rapporteur Andreas Schwab said Parliament intends to use the trilogues to advocate for DMA becoming "the European tool to end unfair practices used by the largest digital companies." Schwab added the regulation should ultimately "focus on the biggest gatekeepers first and make the rules for them even stronger."
