The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Investigations Unit used facial recognition tools from Clearview AI and other providers to uncover child exploitation online, Forbes reports. In a coordinated effort with U.K. authorities, DHS scanned child exploitation material from its investigations unit and Interpol's Child Sexual Exploitation database, including 4.3 million images and videos. The scans led to the identification of hundreds of children and abusers from years-old crimes.
