AI Governance in Practice: Lessons Across Asia and ANZ
Thursday, 3 Dec.
11:15 - 12:15 AEDT
Intermediate level
Asia is already operationalizing AI governance in ways that matter for the ANZ region, raising questions about where ANZ practice will align with or diverge from these Asian precedents. This panel brings together perspectives from Asia and ANZ to examine how these developments translate into practice. Using Korea and Singapore as representative models, speakers will explore how AI governance is being implemented across the AI life cycle, and how these approaches compare with, and are influencing, emerging ANZ regulatory directions. Delegates will leave with practical insights into managing AI risks across jurisdictions and a clearer sense of what may come next.
What you will learn:
• How Korea's and Singapore's AI governance frameworks compare in practice, and where each creates distinct operational challenges.
• How ANZ's emerging AI governance direction aligns with or diverges from Asian regulatory models, and what that means for compliance strategy.
• Practical approaches to managing AI governance across the AI life cycle and across APAC jurisdictions.
