The White House published U.S. President Joe Biden's executive order calling for the "safe, secure, and trustworthy development and use of artificial intelligence" 30 Oct. The order lays out eight guiding principles and priorities for how AI systems should be developed and deployed. Meanwhile, the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, along with several other agencies, will take a leading role in adopting the requirements of Biden's executive order.
