The Washington State Senate Committee on Environment, Energy & Technology passed the latest iteration of the Washington Privacy Act. State Sen. Reuven Carlyle, D-Wash., announced on Twitter the bill passed with a 12–1 vote. The bill has now been referred to the state's Senate Ways & Means Committee.
