The Ministry of Public Security is seeking public comments on Vietnam's draft decree on personal data protection. The decree outlines definitions for categories of personal data, data subject rights, consent provisions and more. The fine scheme under the decree allows for penalties ranging between VDN 50 million to VDN 100 million depending on the type of violation and its severity. The deadline to submit public comments on the decree is April 9.
