The U.S. Department of Commerce and the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Artificial Intelligence issued a joint statement on deepening cooperation in the digital economy, including collaboration on global data flows and data privacy regimes. The announcement "signals both our countries' commitment to ensuring robust data privacy protections which are crucial to innovation and development of the digital economy and the future of U.S.-UAE trade," U.S. Assistant Secretary for Global Markets Arun Venkataraman said.
