An interim report by the U.K.'s Science, Innovation and Technology Committee urges the government to "accelerate" an artificial intelligence governance regime. The U.K. could be "one of the go-to places in the world for the development and deployment of AI," it said, but notes the need for a "serious, rapid and effective effort to establish the right governance frameworks." Meanwhile, a Culture, Media and Sport Committee report said AI developers must not be allowed "free use of existing music, literature and works of art" to train AI.
