A joint U.S. advisory issued by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, National Security Agency and Federal Bureau of Investigation warns of Russian threat actors infiltrating critical infrastructure, GovInfoSecurity reports. The organizations urge network defenders “to adopt a heightened state of awareness and to conduct proactive threat hunting” and say security teams should implement immediate mitigation strategies. The agencies advise security professionals to create and maintain a cyber incident response plan, follow identity and access management best practices, and to report suspicious activity.
