The U.K. Information Commissioner's Office fined a former employee of automotive services company RAC 5,000 GBP for stealing data belonging to victims of traffic accidents. "Being involved in a road traffic accident can be deeply distressing — to then have this used and your data stolen as a result, adds insult to injury," ICO Director of Investigations Stephen Eckersley said.
