EconomyNext reports Sri Lanka's Data Protection Authority is set to begin its work following a gazette published by Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe 19 July. The authority was first proposed in November 2022 and Wickremesinghe told Sri Lankan Parliament the government would follow through with finalization of the independent DPA this year.
