The State Council of the Republic of Korea approved the Enforcement Decree amendment to the Personal Information Protection Act 5 Sept. Personal Information Protection Committee Chairman Ko Hak-soo announced the new enforcement ordinances will enter into force 15 Sept. The amended PIPA includes "unifying the standards for processing personal information" across various fields.
