Television manufacturer Skyworth ended its partnership with an analytics firm after one of its smart televisions was found collecting private data on connected devices, the South China Morning Post reports. The television scanned for other connected devices, gathering IP addresses, device names, Wi-Fi network data and more, sending it to Beijing-based analytics company Gozen Data. Skyworth demanded Gozen delete the collected data. Gozen apologized for “causing user concerns about privacy and security.”
