U.S. President Joe Biden named Rebecca Kelly Slaughter as the acting chair of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Slaughter has been with the FTC since 2018 and has spoken out against the abuse of consumer data during her time with the agency. Biden also designated Jessica Rosenworcel as acting chair of the Federal Communications Commission.
