The U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s biennial report on the Do Not Call Registry showed an increase of more than 2.8 million active registrants during 2021 and more than 5 million complaints received by the agency throughout the year. The FTC said the majority of complaints are reported as robocalls — primarily imposter scam and warranty protection scam calls, followed by calls on reducing debt and medical needs.
