The Philippine Competition Commission and the National Privacy Commission have formed a partnership with the goal to strengthen enforcement and coordination for competition and data privacy issues in the digital economy, the Philippine Star reports. The agreement between the PCC and NPC allows both agencies to investigate and enforce regulations as needed through the formation of task forces. The PCC and NPC would also consult one another when drafting and implementing policies that touch on the other’s purview.
