Peru's data protection authority, the Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales, said it issued PEN2,756,695 in fines over personal data protection violations during 2023 in an annual review of enforcement actions. The agency said it resolved 272 personal data complaints regarding access to, opposing or canceling information collection.
