Peru’s National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights approved a document allowing for the transfer of personal data internationally in keeping with global standards. The document titled “Implementation Guide for Model Contractual Clauses for the International Transfer of Personal Data” is considered by the ANPD to be critical to “overcome the limitations in international data transfers.” The guide is based on the Guide for the Implementation of Model Contractual Clauses for the International Transfer of Personal Data published by the Permanent Secretariat of the Ibero-American Data Protection Network.
