Oman's Ministry of Information announced the Law on the Protection of Personal Data was published in the Official Gazette No. 1429. The law provides for various data subject rights while the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology will have exclusive enforcement powers and be tasked with drawing up regulations. The law becomes effective Feb. 9, 2023.
