During the recent 2023 Obama Foundation Democracy Forum, former U.S. President Barack Obama held a discussion with Decoder podcast host and The Verge Editor-in-Chief Nilay Patel that focused on how to utilize artificial intelligence to benefit democracy, as opposed to eroding it. In the blog post, Obama also published several links to books, news articles and podcasts he said helped shape his early views on AI.
