Nova Scotia's government released its annual Information Access and Privacy Services compliance report for requests made under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The province highlighted that government agencies responded to 91% of the 2,716 access requests they received in 2021-2022. The number of requests received was a 47% increase from the year prior. Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services Colton LeBlanc said the statistics demonstrate how "the public is informed, privacy is protected and the government is accountable for its decisions."
