The New York Times reports a Texas woman was awarded USD1.2 billion in damages in a lawsuit over nonconsensual distribution of intimate images. The lawsuit alleged sexually explicit content of the woman was shared by an ex-boyfriend with family, friends and co-workers without consent to damage her reputation. The content included personally identifiable information, including her name, address and images of her face.
