Nextgov reports the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology has begun considering revisions to its Cybersecurity Framework 2.0. The agency published a concept paper outlining the first proposed updates since 2018, including modernized cybersecurity best practices, sector-specific requirements and cybersecurity governance. The NIST said it is looking at "making more substantial changes than in the previous update" to reflect "the evolving cybersecurity landscape." The concept paper is up for public comment through March 3.
