The EU-U.S. Trade and Technology Council will hold its second meeting May 15 to 16 in France, Reuters reports. While announcing the meeting, European Commission Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager said the next summit will be "crucial for global leadership across a range of key issues." The meeting could feature an announcement on a deal for an EU-U.S. Privacy Shield replacement, a possibility Politico reported on in February. Editor's note: Samuel Stolton reported on the TTC's initial Privacy Shield replacement talks in June 2021.
