Nairametrics reports Nigeria Data Protection Bureau Commissioner Vincent Olatunji is concerned about the lack of privacy professionals installed within Nigerian businesses. Olatunji said his office identified 500,000 organizations that require privacy personnel, but the country has "a huge gap" with only 10,000 jobs filled. The NDPB is offering training with an eye toward equipping 250,000 professionals to close the gap. Olatunji added public-sector entities welcomed the NDPB training and prioritized data protection throughout the government.
