Sam Altman, the former chief executive officer at OpenAI, will lead an artificial intelligence research division at Microsoft after he was let go 17 Nov. by the startup for "transparency" concerns, The New York Times reports. Microsoft is one of OpenAI's biggest investors. Meanwhile, OpenAI staff threatened to quit after Altman's removal unless the board resigned, Wired reports.
