The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India released a consultation paper titled “Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Telecommunication Sector.” The paper offers potential uses of AI and big data for areas like quality of service, spectrum management and network security, while highlighting examples of telecommunications operators already using the technologies. The paper also examined risks associated with adopting AI and big data including unethical uses, biases in data and algorithms, and privacy concerns.
