Reuters reports on the privacy concerns surrounding India's plan to build a digital database of Indian farmers. The database would give each farmer unique digital identification containing personal information and linked to India's Aadhaar system. More than 50 farmers' groups have expressed their concern over the proposal, arguing the project was created without their consultation and does not include a legal framework to properly protect their data.
