The U.K. Information Commissioner's Office released to the public a letter sent in November to the U.K.'s top 100 most-visited websites informing some of them that their cookie banners may not be compliant with the U.K. General Data Protection Regulation and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. The letter detailed how companies can address the errors; the ICO said it released the letters to help other sites get into compliance.
